A Creative Project for Change in UK Prisons.

We are excited to share that we are applying for funding to plan and facilitate an innovative, transformative arts project centered around the theme of Allyship. Combining poetry, drama and dance this collaborative initiative is designed to foster creativity, personal growth and meaningful connection among participants.

About the Project

Running from September 2025 to April 2026, this project will offer 30 weekly creative sessions within three participating prisons. These sessions will include guided workshops in poetry, dance and drama and will feature cross-continental mentorship from formerly incarcerated artists in the USA, specifically men released from San Quentin Prison who have firsthand experience creating powerful dance and theatre work from inside.

This exchange will not only offer artistic tools but also nurture leadership, resilience and solidarity, creating a space for exploration, expression and empowerment.
